Quick Start: Your First Capture

Learn how to configure your device and capture your first HTTPS request.

1. Start the Proxy

Launch RelayCraft. By default, it listens on port 8080.

2. Configure Certificates

To inspect HTTPS traffic (which is 99% of web traffic today), you must trust the RelayCraft Root CA.

Desktop (Local Machine)

  1. Click the Shield Icon in the top toolbar.
  2. Select Install System Certificate.
  3. Enter your system password when prompted.

iOS / Android

  1. Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi as your computer.
  2. Configure your phone's Wi-Fi proxy to point to your computer's IP address (port 8080).
  3. Open Safari/Chrome on your phone and visit http://rc.ca.
  4. Download and install the profile.
  5. iOS Only: Go to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings and toggle RelayCraft CA to ON.

Verification

Visit https://example.com. If the page loads without security warnings and you see the request in RelayCraft, you're all set!
